The Day One Tee

Write Your Own Date · $60

Everyone has a day one. A sober date, a quit date, the day your kid was born, the day you walked away from something. The date's left blank on purpose so you fill in yours. It's your story, not mine. Heavyweight cotton, boxy fit. Fabric marker included.

The meaning

Blessed by what I've been given. Disciplined enough to protect it.

Blessed And Disciplined isn't just a cliché saying. It's a new way of life.

Life isn't always a pink cloud. People, places, and things affect us. When it gets hard, it's easy to chase the quick high, the next hit of feeling good, and end up more stressed and more unmanageable than before. It's a cycle, and it's toxic.

Blessed

Staying blessed means trusting the hardship and knowing that the people who hold on through the trenches come out at a new level of serenity.

Disciplined

Staying disciplined means walking through that storm one day at a time, and building a new way of life and a peace that lasts.

We did what we did. We were who we were. That doesn't define the person we're building.

Stay Blessed And Disciplined.

The story

Blessed And Disciplined started as a phrase I used day to day. It became the way I live, and now it's the foundation of the brand. The brand is real because the story is real.

522→250 272 pounds down. One day at a time.

Where I came from

Addiction moved through different doors for me: drugs, alcohol, food. It was always the same obsession underneath, the need to escape and not feel. At my heaviest I was 522 pounds.

The turn

Recovery started with getting honest about the obsession itself, then handing my life over to a power greater than myself and trusting His will over my self-will.

The gym

The gym became my therapy. It's what keeps my mind right, more than the physical change. If I don't gym, I start to lose my mind.

Discomfort

I make myself uncomfortable on purpose, because I only grow when I'm uncomfortable. When that becomes comfortable, I go find the next hard thing.

Where I am now

522 to 250, 272 pounds down. Swimming with my son instead of watching from the side. Stacking days in recovery, one day at a time.

This brand isn't just clothing to me. It's a reminder, for me and for anyone fighting the same fight in their own mind, that strength gets built, not found.

The pillars

Six pillars I live by.

Higher power favours the relentless

Sobriety

The foundation everything else is built on

Movement

How I move in this world regardless of how I feel

Connection

Being selective with who I allow at my table of recovery

Balance

Finding balance mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and socially

Process

Trusting that these days in recovery stack

Growth

One day I look back and it's been like climbing a mountain through the valley, and I can finally see the peak

Who it speaks to

Anyone fighting a fight in their own mind and choosing to do the work.

Recovery

People in recovery from drugs, alcohol, food or any addictive behaviour. The language comes straight from that life: one day at a time, just for today, stacked days, people places and things, the serenity to accept what we can't change, a power greater than myself. Wearing the brand says you're still in the fight and still showing up.

Gym goers

People who train, and especially people who train for their mind as much as their body. For me the gym is therapy. The tees are heavyweight cotton with a boxy fit, made for the gym and the street. Discipline is the bridge between the gym and the rest of life.

Church, ceremony & everything in between

The brand is spiritual, not tied to one religion. It speaks to people who pray in church, people who go to ceremony, and people who just trust a higher power in their own way. What they share is handing life over to something greater than yourself and trusting the process.

Cree culture & Indigenous identity

I'm Cree, from Kehewin Cree Nation, and the brand is Indigenous-owned. It speaks in part to Indigenous people and culture: walking a good path, healing, and finding strength in where you come from.

Anyone grinding through life

You don't need a label to wear it. Anyone working on themselves, staying quiet and putting in the work, fits here. Grow, grind, win in silence.

Strength gets built, not found.
